Where we actually are. Planur runs private tutoring practices today. Schools are new for us — we are onboarding our first ones now and building the school-specific parts alongside them. The split below is what exists and what is being built. There is no date against anything, because we would rather agree one with you than publish one.

Running in the product now
In daily use by tutoring practices. A school is a larger version of the same thing, so these work from day one.
- Classes and the register — sections, sessions and attendance
- Students and guardians — contacts, enrolment, join codes
- Marks and progress — each student's trend, and where they sit as a band rather than a rank
- Materials — shared to a class once, including whoever joins later
- Fees and invoices — per student, per cycle, tracked to paid
- Practice papers — drafted by AI, published only when a teacher says so

With our first schools
Designed and specified, not yet shipped. These are the parts a school needs that a tutor does not — which is why we want to build them with you rather than at you.
- Report cards — quarterly, half-yearly and annual, graded on your board's scale and printable
- Year on year — records that carry forward, and a class promoted in one action
- Staff records — joining dates, daily presence, lateness and leave
- Class timetable — the week for each class, visible to students and parents
- Holidays — one calendar, and closed days stop appearing as classes
- Notices — announcements and trips, to a class or the whole school
- Suggestion box — from students, parents and staff, to you
- Expenses and income — a simple register for what you spend and what you take, from book and uniform sales to ticketed events, with a photo of the paper
Most of it is simply included.
A few things cost us money that scales with how much you use them. Those are priced separately rather than loaded onto every school.
Secure student documents
Grant and reservation paperwork, encrypted with a key your school holds — so we cannot read the files even if asked to.
Year-end export and custody
A full year of records handed to you as files for your own storage, verified against the source before anything is removed.
SMS and WhatsApp volume
Notices reach parents through channels we pay per message for. In-app and email are included; high-volume messaging is not.
Payroll handover
We hold your staff attendance and leave; your payroll provider runs the payroll. We send them the days, in the format they take. We do not run payroll ourselves — that is a regulated job, and it should be done by people who do only that.
Extended retention
Holding records for longer than we keep as standard, where your board or local rules require it.
These are being built alongside the list above, not available today — they are here so you can see what will and will not be included, rather than discover it later. And we do not quote prices on a website: what a school pays depends on its size and which of these it wants, which is a conversation rather than a table.

So here is what is decided and enforced below the app, where a bug in a screen cannot undo it.
The school is the data controller
You decide what is collected and for how long; we process it on your instructions. For Indian schools that makes you the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act and us your Processor — set out in a data processing agreement we sign with you at onboarding. The public summary of it is in our privacy notice.
Students keep a planner of their own
Planur began as a teenager's own planner. The school sees its classes, attendance and the results it sets. A student's homework, revision and private notes stay theirs.
Fees and staff data are permission-gated
A class teacher does not see the fee ledger or another teacher's leave record. That is enforced in the database, not by hiding a screen.
Your records leave with you
If you stop, your data is exported to you rather than held or quietly deleted. These rules are covered by an automated test suite that tries to break them before anything ships.
